I don't answer calls from 1-800 numbers. I'll let voice mail pick them up. Also, if I don't recognize a number or there is no caller id,it goes to voice mail.

I find robo-calls annoying.

Just some rhetorical questions off the top of my head.

If a person is not already engaged on an issue, can a brief, superficial robo-call really engage them?

If a person is already engaged on an issue, wouldn't he likely already know in better depth the information in the robo call? This is one of my problems with NRA. Being well connected through the web, especially this site, I alreay know all about stuff before NRA-ILA's e-mail alert arrives. There has been a couple times that their superficial e-mail alert annoyed me because I felt something was being skewed.

I believe the Kenyan that moved from Chicago to D.C. had used that technique to gain support.
And considering thevlow intelligence level of most of his supporters, I bet many of them thought it was a live personal call and not a recording.
