It takes place in Portland and FBI agents investigating cyber crime. In chapter2 of the DVD they show an agent digging up what is private info on a person and she says "Oh,he owns 2 assault weapons and 3 handguns". Q-Would the FBI know in detail what that person owned ? If so private sales look pretty good. p.s. yes I know it is only a movie by liberal Hollywood but still !

Officially, no, as Oregon has no gun registration.

In theory, the NICS system could collect such data, but is legally required not to do so.

Officially, NICS data must be destroyed daily. Unofficially. who knows? If these guns were purchased legally, there could be an illegal database that records them. I wouldn't put it past the gov't.
