Weapons in private vehicles on private property?

What is the law in Alabama re: a private citizen having a legally-possessed weapon in their personal vehicle while parked on private property(at work, shopping mall, etc.)?

As for having the weapon in the vehicle while you aren't there... it'd probably still be legal since you wouldn't be in express control of the firearm. It would really depend on how the judge was feeling that day. I also vaguely remember coming across a few court cases more specifically defining 'carry' as being on your person, or in your immediate control, but I don't feel like digging them up (they aren't in my library of cases so I'd have to go searching for 'em).

Just get a permit. It's much easier and clearly legal.

I HAVE a CCW permit. I am referring to having a weapon in my personal vehicle on my BOSS's private property.

$10-20 bucks a year is much cheaper than the bail and lawyer.
Gotta go this month and renew, just missed my christmas present again.

It is up to you boss what is allowed by his employees on his property.
Read the small print on your employee handbook. If there isn't one or
anything in it. Then you are safe till notified otherwise.
We don't have a FL carry on your property while it is on others property law yet.
Why are you telling him what is in your car? Unless you are going on bases,
or secured buildings with your car.

Private property is private property is private property. No law is going to protect you from that (nor should it). It's not illegal to bring your firearm onto private property (or public actually...) like it is in some other states (AL has no signage law).

You very well can get fired/expelled/etc.
