I closed it myself.

Good idea or it would have just become another DD mess. This way it gets the point across without all of the other static!

That was closed? That comment I put in there about "closing it" was meant as a joke.

What is it with Photo Tom closing all of these OC threads today. Is it something they do often. What's the point? Does this happen often?

Is it really affecting him and/or the website for people to continue to comment in them? I'm sorry, but it seems like someone is on a power trip.

In the members only section there is a lot of talk about posts getting off track and too many personal attacks. They want more moderation (sound familiar?). So I think they will be closing more threads to placate the few that have complained.

I don't know if other topics are being closed but the top three are OC related.

It just seems like we don't have too many problems over here like there are over there. I knew there was a reason I never felt the urge to join that forum. My instincts must have known something.

They moved this thread, and on top of that that won't allow me access to comment in it anymore.

"T Vance, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Wow!

This thread was moved to the AMMO DUMP. Read this about the ammo dump.

Ammo Dump Viewing/Posting

The Ammo Dump has now changed to an "opt-in" membership. In order to view or post in the Ammo Dump, you must specifically opt-in by "joining" the "Ammo Dump Participant" usergroup.

To do this, you simply go to your Control Panel > Group Memberships and "join" the "Ammo Dump Participant" group.

Here is a direct link to the usergroup join area:
http://www.migunowners.org/forum/pro...editusergroups

By joining, you agree to the following:

=================================

FAIR WARNING

The Ammo Dump was established for those topics and threads that may push or breach the boundaries of good taste and etiquette. The concept of having a forum where almost anything goes, no moderation and no censorship, inspired "the dump".

There are limits however.

This forum will not be used as a bully pulpit to lecture, advocate, preach or otherwise publish illegal, illicit, pornographic or sociopathic remarks or commentary. Any such topics and/or posts may be locked or deleted without warning. Repeat offenders may also find their user accounts turned off. Users who are constantly "pushing the envelope" or "bumping" threads to obviate the automated purge, may also suffer the same fate.

The beauty of the Ammo Dump is that posts are regularly purged after a period of inactivity. Therefore, those users who are offended by posts or threads in the dump, are encouraged not to participate in them.

The opinions expressed by the posters in the Ammo Dump are not necessarily those of the Michigan Gun Owners organization, message board administrators or moderators. Anyone posting in the Ammo Dump assumes full responsibility for their comments.

=================================

IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO VIEW POTENTIALLY "OBJECTIONABLE" MATERIAL---DO NOT JOIN THIS GROUP!

You can "leave" the Ammo Dump Participant group at any time by going to the same area of your user Control Panel (see above link).

Most of them are a bunch of whiny ass crybabies that got their asses kicked out of MCRGO. So they started their own web site. When that one went south they got together and started MGO.

Some of them do cry allot! And they are not very tolerant of others opinions.. also I have yet to see them do anything for the RTKBA therefore I have NOT joined...IE given them money. When I see measurable results I will be more inclined. NOTE I do not count posting new bills as doing something as we do that here and other places such as MCRGO, NRA, and GOA.

They don't really do much for RKBA - they do "SAFR" firearm storage classes, and they donate to organizations that help disabled hunt.

As far as advancing the right itself, they don't do much at all.

They're a "grassroots" organization that stuck in stagflation - growing in numbers but never increasing in value.

This isn't a forum for associate members. Pay up or shut up.

And a great many of these keyboard commando posers here are heavily abusing Viagra.

Pat, this was classic!

More like a "crabgrassroots" organization.
