This is the Docket Info for the court case that we are all talking about recently. The City Of Seattle getting sued by the SAF, WAC, and all

RE: The Gun Ban In Seattle Parks & Rec

Just thought people might be interested in the activities on this case. People have been asking what is going on, well here it is. The wheels of justice move very slowly, sometimes like molasses.

Already we have a judge who's recused in this case. I wonder why?

This isn't from something of my own personal knowledge (from the case), but self-recusals by judges are rather common if they have a friendship involving a member of a law firm on either side, or they believe that they personally can't judge a case fairly due to strongly held personal beliefs. The first set of circumstances are more common than you think.

One could note that the new Judge "Susan Craighead" is a Gregoire appointee. Not that it means she won't be fair, but I get nervous when that happens... especially in King County where some really weird rulings have come forth.

I don't judge people by who appointed them, I judge them by their history and what they'd done and decided.

Before Gregoire, there was Gary Locke. Before Gary Locke, there was Mike "Grabass" Lowry, before Mike Lowry, it was Booth Gardner for two terms. If the issue has to do with party affiliation, I point out that it was Booth Gardner (D) who signed into law RCW 9.41.290, our state's preemption statute.

...but the (D) have changed oh so much more for the worse over the past 30 years.

....but so have the (R).....

If you want socialism nowvote for (D) if you want it in 10 years vote (R).

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Which brings to bear our 'two party system', which can be summed up as; "where are we going? And why are we in this basket?"

Btw, the "Affidavit of Prejudice" is against the currently sitting judge, Susan Craighead, if I am reading the law correctly, as the previous judge recused himself from the case and doesn't count against that affidavit statute.

That is correct. Self recuses do not count towards an affidavit of prejudice.

Its interesting that SAF is all about suing Seattle on exactly the same issue that they said I COULDNT sue Richland over. Like they have any authority to tell me THAT?

That cost them a cash donation.

So, your saying they somehow forced you not to?

Or did they simply advise against it?

If they did force you not to bring lawsuit, how did that go exactly? Why did you allow them to dictate what you could and could not do?

This should be interesting.

What, exactly did SAF say?
What sort of lawsuit did you plan to file?

Don't worry about it Camo, do what you wanna do, they advised me not to open carry after my Bellingham incident I just ignored that ridiculous advice.
