Between that and The Stranger's article, it's obvious there are a few writers and publications taking aim at the SAF. Apparently, they enjoy shooting down the right to keep and bear arms by shooting off their mouths.

Tawnos, your comment triggered a memory of mine of jury selection. They brought in about 50 of us because the trial was about a gun presentation (self defense or not?) and they expected numerous peremptory challenges. At least a dozen prospective jurors used the phrase "I believe in the Second Amendment but there should be some rules against guns." Rush Limbaugh would call these people "seminar callers".

I will go to my grave being sorry I didn't say, when I had the chance, "I believe in the First Amendment but she shouldn't be allowed to say what she just said." Too many people use phrases like that to convince others that they are reasonable when they are anything but.

Allen's national televised statement about CC'ing for tactical advantage rubs me the wrong way. It's like they are looking for the chance to use their firearm.
