Somehow the date "12/28" got stuck in the title of the thread.

Don't know how that happened, but it is wrong.

The match is in NOVEMBER.
Saturday after Turkey Day.

There probably will also be a match in December, but the December date is TBD.

Maybe the moderator (or whoever stuck that date in there) can "fix" the typo in the title of my thread.

Is there a fee to just watch. Long distance shooting is something I'm interested in doing at some point. How late will the shooting go? Not sure I can get there at 9 am :^).

By all means, please come watch.
No fee to watch.

The mast-arm of the gate will be open for the duration of the match, and probably for an hour-or-so after the match.

I'm the guy with the dirty blue shooting jacket, and the AR-15 with the VSSA sticker on the stock.

I was 100% planning to go until I injured my back again (chronic problem) on Monday. I'm doing better, but still uncertain about whether I can make it myself on Saturday. Its a good bunch of guys. So, even if I'm too hobbled to attend, any respectful observer will be very welcome.

I should also mention that Fairfax Rod and Gun Club is NOT an open-carry-friendly range.

Concealed carry is allowed.

Somebody will say something to you if you do not comply.

What's you best-guess for completion time?

I'd love to come out and watch but have some other commitments in the early AM.

What is the maximum range in this competition? My recollection of FR&GC is that the longest range is lees that 500 meters.

If i can't make it over to watch, I will step out on the deck to listen.

Regards
