I live in Breathitt County, Jackson, Kentucky. I wanted to know if it's legal to carry a hostered handgun on one's side while walking down the road. Of course the gun would be uncovered so people could see it. The reason I ask this question is because where so many people are getting killed and finding them in the back woods. I walk a lot on back roads (state and county roads, plus on trails).

I would have to say, if Kentucky is an open carry state and you will not be within a school zone, probably okay.

But try the Kentucky forum, and maybe do a search of the forum before you post the question. A little research goes a long way!
