MANASSAS CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT

PRESS RELEASE

November 18, 2009

Residential Burglaries

During the past two weeks the City of Manassas has had several Residential Burglaries in and around the Wellington and Cloverhill Neighborhoods.

In the majority of these cases the suspect(s) have entered the homes by smashing out a rear window during the day or night when the residents are not at home. The burglars are taking jewelry, cash, guns, playstations, video games, and other small items of value.

The Manassas City Police Department is asking for the public to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods immediately by calling 703-257-8000. Citizens are reminded to close their garage doors, lock all windows and doors and to turn on outside lights during the night.

The Manassas City Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward up to $1000 for information that leads to an arrest in these cases. The confidential 24-hour tip line is (703) 330-0330.
