    The Road is a film directed by John Hillcoat and written by Joe Penhall. Based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Cormac McCarthy, author of No Country for Old Men, the film stars Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee as a father and his son in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Filming took place in Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and Oregon. The film was released on 25 November 2009 and is scheduled to be released on 4 January 2010 in UK cinemas

    Grim movie, but there's a nice scene in which Viggo rectifies a bandit's lead deficiency.

    I just bought the paperback at Sam's Club ( while open carrying). I'll just read it first and watch it when it comes out on DVD.
