The meeting was a great success. There were about 10 people present for the meeting. We enjoyed a lively discussion on numerous topics relevant not only to the organization but to OC and 2A rights in general. I encourage anyone interested in actually doing something positive for all 2A rights to come over and join the LOCAL group in addition to this site. A combined effort to promote OC and gun rights in general is crucial to retaining our rights now more than ever.

Members of the Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League (LOCAL) recently held a meeting, elected an interm President and set goals for the group in an effort to grow from an online forum to an activist 2A organiziation. We are not as far along as states such as Virginia or Ohio but OCers in the Bayou State are organizing. Wish us luck.
