You won't see it unless you're looking for it... It's a Glock while wearing black pants (what I wear for work) and a black jacket (because that's what I have). I don't have a pic...

You guys can blame this wonderfully deep snow on me, it is all my fault!!

I just sold my 2006 Polaris switchback 900cc Twin, Fuel injected, long-tracked (144" track) deep snow machine running at 158 HP.

In the last 3 years I have accumulated less than 1,500 miles on it, most of my riding was in the Kewenaw Peninsula in the U.P. while out boondocking and tree riding. I had a deep-snow sled, we got no snow, I sell it and we get hammered with snow!

So now that I do not have a sled capable of riding deep powder, I am quite sure we will be up to our asses in it for the next 3 years!! It looks like I'll be wearing my nice warm snowmobile gear while clearing snow with the Bobcat today.

The power came on 2 1/2 hours ago while I was shoveling. It had been off since about 0000.

I spent the morning learning that I need chains for the ag-tires on my tractor. I got the road from the house to the out buildings, tractor shed and sugar shack, plowed but was a little stuck twice before even making it to the driveway.

So, after lunch, I shoveled enough of the drive to let neighbors checking on us know that we're OK.

I'm done, d-u-n, for the day. I think I'll have some ethanol based anti-freeze.

I did not carry my pistol while shoveling. MT holster, yes, but no 1911.

sounds like we both had a little heating problems today, your's a little worse than mine. I don't blame ya for4 not wearing today, that 1911 will get cold, then sweat for 10 hours till it reaches room temp, rust is a bad thing. I am dun now too , spent another 1.5 hours out there this afternoon snowblowing, now I wait for the street plow to put a mountain of snow at the end of the driveway....then do it all over again

    No heating problems.

We use a propane gas-log, normally, for ambience and to take the chill off in the early AM. Main heating is electric baseboards - subsidized by the electric coop. Without electricity it works fine as a convection heater for all rooms except those isolated by shut doors, the bedroom and bathroom. Don't dawdle in the bathroom and we don't heat the bedroom in any case.

I have a woodstove/trash burner in the garage that melted a big bucket of snow-water with which to flush the toilet, the 20 gallon pressure tank out lasted the outage. I made morning coffee, on my Dragonfly backpacking stove, to go with cold cereal. I re-heated frozen split-pea soup for lunch with ham and cheese s'wiches.

There is a pot-roast in the oven for dinner with roast veggies. My nose tells me that, I haven't asked about the rest of dinner.

I have an empty water-glass of Cavit Pinot Noir beside me and I'll re-fill it at least once more.

And now I need to go out to the garage and stoke the trash burner.

I did about an hour on the Bobcat today, just enough to make a path around the buildingfor our storage unit renters.I broughtthe dogs outside and had a blast playing in the snow with them. Imagine getting tackled by 2 German Shepherds about 75-80 pounds each. I am unsure of which one of us had the most fun. I think I did?

Then we went to the casino to piss away some time and money, just ate a cold meatloaf sandwich for dinner and I plan on the next 2-3 hours on the Bobcat again due to the blowing and drifting we are seeing.
I brought in 3-4 days worth of firewoodtwo days ago with the news of the possible storm.

So if the snow covers your weapon, is it now considered concealed?

    Mine is a weapon.
"Personal protection device?" Don't those come in little yellow packets with the word "trojan" printed on them?

That is right, the correct term is weapon. Hence CCW: Concealed Carry of a Weapon.

It doesn't have to be a fire arm.
