Hannah Dustin Defense League

Who We Are

The Hannah Dustin Defense League has been created to join women from many walks of life and organizations as a coalition with one purpose.

To end the ban on self-defense at the New Hampshire State Capital Complex.

As a direct response to the backdoor ban on firearms, knives, and many other tools of self protection the women of New Hampshire are joining forces with many others to fight this new unconstitutional regulation.

Introducing the Hannah Dustin Defense League, supported by the largest W omen's national gun rights organization the Second Amendment Sisters, inc. , Hannah's Defenders have sworn to turn the tide and work to reverse the regulation and prevent the passages of other anti-2nd Amendment legislation that has been introduced for the 2010 session.

It is our hope this coalition will be short lived, and unnecessary in the near future. Our purpose is to unite and organize protests, testimonies, and public attention to the newly created killing zone, our own State Capital Complex.

What happened:

A couple of days before Christmas of 2009, the House and Senate joint Facilities committee met to take care of the usual business of overseeing the State House Complex. The agenda was set and nothing was on it regarding state house security. One of the Republican members of the committee had announced he had to leave the meeting early, nothing was said to him. As the meeting got the the point of closing one of the Democrat members of the committee announce they had one more issue to address. It was then that the Republican members knew they where about to see the end of real safety at the State House Complex.

It is not hard to understand their outrage as a vote ensued and right down party lines the Democrats defeated the protests and no votes of the Republicans and created a new regulation.

The New Regulation:

"No person, except for law enforcement personnel in active duty, shall carry a firearm or other dangerous or deadly weapon or an explosive, openly or concealed, while inside the State House, the Legislative Office Building, the Upham Walker House, or any of the underground tunnels connected to these buildings. Law enforcement personnel, when requested by State House security staff, must produce sufficient identification establishing their status as law enforcement personnel."

The Result:

This new regulation bans firearms, knives, tazers, and aerosol self defense sprays such as mace or pepper spray, so basically anything that could be "dangerous" or "deadly".

Hi,
Men are welcome but like our AppleSeed events were we like more women to attend since pro 2A women make it that much easier to once again educate children in firearm history and use.
It's mentioned at http://forum.nhliberty.org/index.php?topic=2688.0
or contact NH Representative Jenn Coffey (jenn @ jenncoffey.com)

rules and proposed anti firearm bills that are being pushed restricting 2A rights and RSA statutes in NH.

I'll be in Concord tomorrow and the 11th at the protest and speaking with my District #10 reps.[size=

I hope you let every firearm owner you know to either get out there and make themselves know or at least contact their reps to stop these two anti 2A bills.
