Hi guys! I just became a gun owner Christmas Day, and I've been lurking here for a little while. I've enjoyed reading many of the informative posts from the community, and decided to start 2010 right & open carry on my trip to Wal Mart. I live in the 27409 area of Greensboro, so I was shopping at the Wendover location. I tried to be relaxed about it (but still acutely aware of my surroundings), and it went off without a hitch. No weird looks (that I noticed), no questions/comments etc. from employees or other shoppers. My wife is still getting used to the idea though - I DID tell her that I wouldn't carry at my daughter's birthday party tomorrow at my parents' house =P

Glad that all went off without a hitch.

One of the best things you can do is learn from other peoples experiences. I have found that I am much more prepared for questions/encounters after reading about other's experiences than I would have been without this forum.
