Eh, we shall see where it goes. As long as it doesn't infringe upon the right to own/purchase a certain type of firearm. If it increases the time for felony possession of a firearm, I would have to say I am for it.

Point taken but to further increase jail time for felons with firearms seems like a good idea. Note: seems. So until a bill comes out, we will see.

Sentencing increases for the gun mean zip as they are applied to run concurrently with the offense. Since the BG's get paroled early... it's meaningless. You can't legislate away 'behavior'. In what's left of Baltimore... the HS graduation rate is 34%. New business will not be attracted to that 'n old business will leave. An uneducated workforce being undesirable. The crime demographic equally undesirable. So... what's Pooky 'n Pookette to do? Street entrepreneurship florishes in that sort ofenvironment. Legality? Whussup widat?
If you can escape that hole... by all means do so w/o delay.

There are some things I miss about MD. The Chesapeake Bay being #1, they have really nice roads and employment is easy to obtain.

I wish my parents had gone a little further north when looking for land to buy back in 1986. However we are very close to PA, neighbors don't seem to care one lick if there is 3 hours of shooting going on, andI can hunt deer and trap foxes here.
Now there was discussion a while back about when my parents retire. I urged strongly that moving to PA to a similar amount of land and a building I can use for my business, would be the wisest choice. PA does not tax retirement, you can carry, you can buy a gun in 20 minutes, and zoning isn't as strict.I WILL miss the place we are at now, been living here 20 years, except for 2 when I experimented with being in PA on my own, but it turned into a money pit for lack of enough work coming in. I DO wish I had known about OC then though, I could have been naughty and OC'd on foot out my door, avoid the school zone, and been a local nuisance LOL.

I took the step of leaving Maryland in 2004, the best move i've ever made! I have family in Johnstown, PA. and Sunbury, PA. But lived in Baltimore my whole life, at one time it was a great place to live but times have changed. BTW. I'm new to this site and glad to be here. Hope to keep informed. Hello to all!
