Their conditions are unknown.The shooting broke out in the lobby of the building, located on Las Vegas Boulevard between Bridger and Bonneville avenues.With streets around the building blocked off, drivers are urged to use alternate routes, including Interstate 15 to the west and Maryland Parkway to the east.Chief Deputy Marshal Roxanna Lea Irwin said it appeared a shotgun was used during the confrontation.

According to an MSNBC report I just heard on TV, the gunman died from his wounds.

One of the Federal Marshalls also has died.

The shooter has not been identified yet, and no motive is known at this time...

LasVegasNow.com is reporting that it was a Federal Court Security Guard that was killed and a Deputy Federal Marshal in critical condition.

Check this out, video of it live already on Youtube. You can hear the gun shots, and there are LOTS of gun shots.

EDIT:

Just saw a memorial motorcade on the live video feed. I'd like send my heart out to the fallen guard's family, an ex-LV metro police officer and the injured Marshal and his video, I hope he makes it through the ordeal.

This is actually evidence of why they should do away with courts as being "no gun zones" because thats obviously a lie. What if Johnny Shotgun here killed those two marshalls (and the other LEOs)...he would have carte blanche to massacre all the unarmed Nevadans there. Hell, maybe if there were armed citizens there that marshall would still be alive.

Of course im just preaching to the choir here...but maybe someone will stumble upon it searching google and take the thought to heart.
