From The Nation who published the ground breaking liberal blueprint for destroying the nation in 1966 - the Cloward/Piven strategy article "The Weight of the Poor" - which Obama and his cabal are using to collapse our economy and remake us as a socialist/marxist nation of paupers...

Open carriers exhibit "audacity of hate"

"One of the most disturbing trends to emerge during the town hall debacles is the appearance of gun-toting protesters even at events where the president himself is scheduled to appear. These zealots use the tepid excuse of celebrating the Second Amendment to justify their incendiary behavior; nevertheless, citizens across the nation are deeply disturbed by their audacity of hate."

You remember Bill Engvall? The great thing about these kind of writers is that they put their own signs on themselves...

I haven't seen or read any OCers spreading hate-filled propaganda like these fellows just did... Yet, somehow, they manage to call their targets the hateful ones....

Sure, there are some people who are stupid enough to fall for that ranting screed... But mostly, all they did was hang a sign on themselves.

What a bunch of ****** bags.

From that same "The Nation" slide show:

    http://www.thenation.com/slideshow/2...w_rightwing/11

This is a photo of Joe Wilson, Senator from SC...

Don't get me wrong. I think The Nation is a disgraceful rag of Socialist Propaganda, and it's even useful for lining a hampster cage.

But personally, I think Joe Wilson is a wingnut just the same, and like many of the "elected" officials from SC, I think he is a disgrace to the Republic. But just what is that on his hip that he's reaching for?

Maybe he's even more of a wingnut that I thought.

That had damn better be a cell phone...
It is our cause to dispel the foggy thinking which avoids hard decisions in the delusion that a world of conflict will somehow mysteriously resolve itself into a world of harmony, if we just don't rock the boat or irritate the forces of aggression—and this is hogwash."

Liberals sure are for the rights they approve of, not so much for the ones they unilaterally declare "unnecessary" or "archaic."

I never thought our rights were a buffet.

I wonder how many people know who Cloward and Piven are and what they espoused? Their strategies are in use with the current administration and their ends are on the horizon. Should it come to pass, the states should exercise their most basic of rights and remove themselves from the union. If they don't the country will be lost.

Secession wars are fought against the Yankees regularly here on OCDO, while they think themselves defenders of the Onion.

Is a 'goon' anything like a 'goof'? Is it time to write an entymological[sic] taxonomy of legally armed citizens. Note that Hemipterans are the 'true bugs'.

Does no one else recall the origins of goons in Alice the Goon in the Popeye strip from the Thirties?

To one of the "town halls" back in August where a gang of punks from the Service Employees International Union showed up with bats and sticks and beat up a guy selling anti-Democrat stickers and buttons. The Nation article is critical of people OCing outside these town halls because they claim it is "chilling" and "intimidating" when what it is is self-defense.

    Amen.

Everyone needs to maintain a level of civility and attempt to dispel ignorance.

Beating a person or escalating a confrontation to a physical manner in anyway just isn't smart and I've seen this across the board and for as long as I have been able to comprehend politics and social issues.

Sure, people have disagreements, but the purpose of the Republic is to change it, reform it, or maintain it through the system not with unnecessary aggression and I'm sure you all know what I mean by unnecessary aggression.

Yes, but therein lies the problem itself.

"These people" don't want that. "They" want to be the iron fist. "They" want to abolish the civility and freedom this nation was meant to be, so that "they" can be that iron fist brutally destroying any who dare oppose "them."

ixtow , you hit the nail on the head...

    To quote George Orwell:

"There will be no curiosity, no enjoyment of the process of life. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. But always — do not forget this, Winston — always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless. If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face . . . for ever."
That is the future these people want, and the funny thing is they are so deluded that they actually believe THEY will be the ones wearing the boot. What they don't realize is, their "puppet masters" have NO plan whatsoever to treat them any different than the rest of the "prols"...
It is our cause to dispel the foggy thinking which avoids hard decisions in the delusion that a world of conflict will somehow mysteriously resolve itself into a world of harmony, if we just don't rock the boat or irritate the forces of aggression—and this is hogwash."

I have read some very interesting things in the last 9 years about how the Left thinks they can use Islamic fundamentilism to help destroy the West enough for them to take over, whereupon they think they will be able to take out the Islamists. This is somewhat similar to the mistake Hitler made by making and then violating the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, using the Soviets to aid in taking over Poland and then turning on them later.

Look at Ubama kowtowing to nations that describe themselves as "islamic". And these nations mean it; people who dare call America a "Christian nation" are all but publicly stoned, never mind that America is full of also synagogues, mosques, Bhuddist and Hindu temples, Hare Krishna ashrams, even the so-called "Church of Satan" is tolerated here. In contrast if a nation calls itself "Islamic" they damned well mean it, as you will find out if you so much as carry a Christian Bible there.

The good news is that the Soviets tore the Nazis a new one - with our indespensable help - but the bad news is that half the globe was enslaved under the logical end product of socialism for more than half a century, and again it was only America that provided the aid to stem the red tide and roll it back.

(Just a side note: Most of the American left was A-OK with Hitler until he attacked Stalin, upon which he bacame in their eyes a no-good SOB.)

If the Left continues with the evil pact they are making, when radical Wahabism turns round on them, armed with nukes, and America winds up as a part of a global Caliphate; who will be there to save us?

    NOBODY.

I avoid all these rags. There's just no sense reading something you know is complete bull$h!t as far as I'm concerned. Wether it's TV "news", or the local birdcage liner, youcan bet there's %1 factual information and %99 fertilizer. It's a lot easier to scan online news articles and listen to local talk shows or the national ones if you're into them. We know the left is delusional at best, sinister at worst and must be crushed at all costs. So that we can take down the authortarians on the right a few notches later on, as they are certainly a lesser menace for the time being.

I learned everything I ever needed to know about "The Nation" when around 1988 they ran an article "debunking" Stalin's artificial famine in the Ukraine. Ever since, I've put them in the same category as Holocaust deniers.

Why? Stalin is one of the radical left's heros... the other being Mao. Far be if from them to admit to the misdeeds(?) of these two commies.

Stalin a hero in any form or fashion?

Funny that town halls hosted by legislators erupted in violence or near-riots in cities where firearms were prohibited. President Obama chose to go to where they were allowed, and there was no violence, no near-riots. Audacity of peace?

President Obama is not an idiot with reckless disregard for his own safety. When even HE recognizes an armed society is a polite society, how can anyone claim otherwise?
