Go get em. Every time they treat us badly we need to go back out and show them that they don't scare us. That was my intention in San Pedro. We are law abiding citizens that wont be terrorized under color of law.

Was 2 minutes leading the top of the newscast. Briefly showed an officer conducting an unfounded "Terry" stop of UOC'r. Editorial comments from observers. The reporter announced that Bay Area Open Carry would be meeting again at a Walnut Creek restaurant next month.

Slightly negative spin, as one would expect from the TV news, but not too bad. Overall, it just made OC seem rather commonplace, and (accept for the cop with his AR drawn) not a big deal. That in and of itself seems like an improved perception IMO.

Yea. Go get nothing accomplished except to make people nervous, and show off, and to cause more trouble than anything else.

Yes - go there and show us that the open carry movement is a bug of nut cases.

The "cowboys and indians" guy is quite right. Carrying a gun solves nothing. Carrying one has risks. The open carry people looked bad for sure.. It's clear they are a bunch of nut cases.

Wow...Livermore just had an open carry event and the LE still treats open carriers like ****. The last 2 interviews were just plain retarded.

Typical predator behavior, waiting to catch one open carrier by him/herself. I didn't see a single cop of get checked Saturday when we had 10+ people carrying.

The police are knowingly violating civil rights, federal law, and targeting law-abiding citizens above criminals, and WE'RE the problem?

Please, continue supporting these traitors. It's clear the propagandists offering no basis in fact, just emotion, have the moral high ground.

I thought it was pretty funny that the last guy interviewed who was so anti-OC was obviously from Britain. Like we should take the advice of a people who have allowed themselves to become subjects instead of free citizens. A people who have no real knowledge of what it means to be secured from tyranny?

He sounded like a scared baby who has seen too many poor movies, and probably needs to "grow up" himself.

I soooooo wish I could have come down there with freedom_is_popular today. I was at work and couldn't make it for the interview.

I two think this would have gone better with more than 1 UOC'er about.

It was VERY dissapointing to see one of the LEO's that were on hand for our 12031e check over the weekend treating our Brother like a criminal - "up against the wall".

LPD - Please reconsider your responses and actions to MWAG calls. Please properly train your dispatchers to ASK RELEVANT QUESTIONS when taking such calls. Like, is the gun in a holster, is the person threatening anyone, is the person just giving a TV interview and minding his own business? Are you, caller, a namby-pamby socialist that would love nothing better than to see the person with the gun strung up for all to see?

All - this is an uphill battle in some respects and we all know it. I am proud to be part of a movement that supports our freedoms and the founding principals of this GREAT nation.

It is a wonderful place that we call home that allows the nay sayers to be able to say, well, "nay" (and other crap). It is also my right to say back to them, "this is my home too and I WILL exercize MY rights".

If this makes me a "cowboy" in some skewed eyes, so be it.

See you all in Walnut Creek!

    Carry On,

Check out this supplemental footage of the police officer conducting the e-check:

    http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/video?id=...mp;pid=7202697

Look how he blatantly searches for the serial number AFTER he checked if it was unloaded!

    Lawsuit?

You can also hear the anti-gun ******* that called the cops yelling "YEAAAAAH, GET EM!" in the background.

Ok a couple of quick comments...

    1. Did anyone else notice the violation with a smile service? I think this LEO thought this was his 15 seconds of fame.

    2. I like the UOCer's t-shirt, great interview attire.

    3. Am I the only one who thought thise-check seemed awfullycontrived for the amountof firepower in the background along with rolling backup? Could the reporter have been the one who called 911 in fear? Makes a great story doesn't it?

    4. Ignore the Brit and his racist remarks against Native Americans! Like the only time we need guns is when indians are afoot. What an elitist remark! Did anyone check to see if he is here legally?!

Just for the record, it's entirely possible to have a socialist society which also promotes civil rights.

Hopefully with additional training on the Constitution, and maybe some good operational policy enforcement within LPD, this officer will come around ( ).

I actually wondered if the news crew had made the call too. But, with the local street corner hecklers around - it could have come from one of them.

Remember it is not cool to profile people from other countries - it is cool however to profile, hassle, and violate, law abiding citizens that choose to exercize their rights

I carry a gun in case the Queen and her army come over and try to take back the colonies. He's obviously an infiltrator and saboteur. Are the Alien and Sedition acts still in force?
