I am planning a anniversary trip to Maine with my wife I am a current license to carry a handgun holder of Indiana. What might I need to do to apply for an out of state permit to carry from Maine?

See non-resident link - I have no clue as to processing time.

From the experiences I've had with res. and non-res. it usually processes within 4-6 weeks.

Does Maine honor the permit of an Indiana resident or not?

The following map/link would suggest that it does, but the verbiage does not support that. http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/maine.pdf
