what are the dc laws regarding hunting rifles

i know thati cant carry a hand gun in dc

butwhat about hunting rifles like a Marlin 30.30 cal, can i carry 1 in my trunk?

and not been a dc resident,im from va an havechp

You can't (not supposed to) and shouldn'ttry to take any guns into DC. The Beltway is some form of an imaginary prison wall for politicians even though they seem to be able to come and go as they please (MD section of the Beltway must be where they get out). Communism going hand and hand. DC and MD need to start having locations like visitor centers where legal gun carriers can stow away their gunsand havesigns leading to them stating that in X miles"No Guns Allowed Passed This Point".

There is specific code in DC against carrying long guns. They really do hate fredom there.
