Ok here is the deal on Medina; we have to get everybody that cares about freedom in Texas to vote for Medina in the primary. In Texas the candidates that are in the primary must get at least 50% of the votes to win the primary.



If none of the candidates get greater than 50% of the votes then the top two candidates will have a run off in April.



So we need to spread the word to everyone that vote that they need to vote in the primary in March and not just wait until the November elections.



This year the primary election could be our next step for open carry in Texas.[/i][/b]



I also talked with Debra about her thoughts on Casinos in Texas and her response was (she thinks the people of Texas should be allowed to vote on the issue) I agree.

Once again, Debra Medina had the best performance of all of the gubernatorial candidates.

She is spot on in her views about property 'ownership', use of available laws to monitor and combat illegal immigration, use of nullification rules to stop unfunded federal mandates imposed on Texas taxpayers, and, of course, the right of law-abiding citizens to carry their weapons openly.

Her knowledge and control of the facts, her honesty, and her obvious commitment to Texas constitutional law is refreshing and commendable.

She just may be the fresh wind that we need

Was listening to Glenn Beck earlier. Debra Medina got thrown under the bus by him on national radio, due to her apparent status as a 9/11 truther. That can't have helped her chances.

She responded and said that she isn't now and has never been a truther. I think her Initial response, where she said that had nothing to do with Texas, was the right one.

But yeah, thanks Glenn Beck. Way to go on supporting those Average people looking for a shot at governing, you know, the ones you said you wanted?

Beck just dropped off my radar I think.

To me, she came across as 'straddling the fence', neither denying nor confirming. But, that's just my take on her answers.

She lost a lot of points with me just giving an interview to alex jones. You can't associate with those people. She should have unrepentantly denounced the "truth" movement for what it is. A slim minority of loud mouth malcontents being manipulated by left wing interests. I'll probably still vote for her in the primary, but if I go back to her facebook page and see alex jones as her friend, forget it.

I think she probably lost a few points as well. But, about the alex jones thing. Remember, she was a virtualnobody when she came to the OCDO BBQ. That was just last October. She had to get her message out at any outlet that would have her so don't give her too much grief over talking to and being a friend of Alex Jones. Especially if the friend thing is on facebook.

Friends on facebook mean nothing to me. I've got friends on facebook that I've never met, talked to, or sent nor receiveda messageand have no clue who they are norhow they came to be friends. I'm sure I accepted them somehow and when I realized that this was happening, I stopped using facebook. It's a non-issue for me.

Yes, but it's about time this "virtual nobody" (or anyone entering serious politics) learns that public perception is often more powerful than the reality or else it's over for herbefore she even gets started. After all, the average Joe has no time or brains to sort out the truth so they just believe what they hear and see on TV, etc..

Learn quickly in politics (taking lessons in "damage-control" might be helpful).

And even from the very beginning, don't associate with ANY "undesirables," don't take $$ in support from same and watch EVERYTHING you say...as you can be sure it all will be used for or against you later on (usually against).

You've got a point RB. I'll still support her, but no longer openly. Her sticker is no longer on my car. I'd like to see her win, but it seems like the truther movement destroys everything it touches. Ron Paul had a lot to say I agreed with, then when the tin foil sheep got involved he became persona non grata.

Recently Captain Bull$h!t has been railing against Sara Palin, which should enhance her standing. The tea party groups seem to have roundly rejected them as well. I'm convinced you'd find George Soros' fingerprints if you could trace the funding these lunatics get.

Glenn Beck woke me up a little more than a year ago. After listening to him religiously, I'm awake enough to see through him. My opinion doesn't mean $hIt.

Performance = intended design vs. real time analysis.

The Constitution is intended design. Read it. You wouldn't rewire the electrical system in your car based on forum (media) opinions when you could buy the repair manual. If you truly understand intended design you'll easily wade through the B.S.
