"The safety of "the public" should trump the ability for somebody to openly carry a gun" - Morley Pitt - San Mateo County Asst. DA

In reference to school integration during the 60's: "The safety of the students should trump the ability of black kids to openly educate themselves"

Thank you Asst. DA for showing your true agenda, the State above all others.

Allow me to introduce myself to Griffin Dix of the Alameda County Brady Campaign. My name is Adnan Shahab. I am not carrying guns to "intimidate people". I do it to protect myself. I am trained, and I am a responsible person.

And I believe that the safety of the public should trump the ability to openly wear carry a gun in public...
WHAT?! You mean to say, that people being maimed, cut down, and raped is more important than someone carrying the means in which to stop such an atrocity?

I think they're carrying guns in part to intimidate people.
Yes, to intimidate criminals in to not committing crimes. It is called a deterrent. For those who wish to do harm to someone bearing a gun or to do harm to a loved one or an innocent bystander should be intimidated by the very possibility that it will be one of their last real human emotions before the blood stops pumping to their brain.

A criminal assailant that uses deadly force is to the use of deadly force as a raging-rabid pit bull is to being put down.

I'm against somebody having a gun, outside, where it can be seen. I'm not used to seeing things like that, it should be in privacy. If they have a gun it should be home or wherever but not to be seen. And I wouldn't want my children to see something like that
We're talking about an everyday tool. Not pornography lady. What difference is there between seeing police officers with guns and non-police officers? Poor ill-informed and sad excuses. She should have just stated that she is hoplophobic.

In the case of open carrying of guns into stores, I don't want somebody who is untrained....(I won't try to quote this guy any further)
I can assure this guy that there are many (not saying most) officers who just barely qualify to keep their jobs and there are some that have to take their qualifications over and over. Just because one is law enforcement does not mean they know how to shoot any better or any different scenario than the next man or woman with a gun. Sure, there are some LEO's with training, but not all of them.

Look at some of the physical fitness requirements that some departments have, well to get in, they may be strict but afterward, BAH! Look at Steven Segal's posse, not exactly tactically fit.

Aric, Thanks for the balanced reporting! It's quite refreshing after seeing other media doing hit pieces and sensationalized editorials masquerading as news.

This was a good video! The anti-guners have no point whatsoever.
