    In the thread listed below, a story mentions a student supporting student CC on campus, and "He also touched on the controversial idea of free gun zones on college campuses".

    It does not look like a typo, so I have to know...What did he mean by "free gun zone"?

    Maybe he was proposing a new "give away" program.

    I'm sure it was meant to be "gun free zone".

    It is a typo - a transposition of terms.

    It should have been stated as Gun Free Zones - victim rich environment.

    But the article calls it a "controversial" idea.Gun free is not controversial. Free gun? Now THAT'S controversial!
