Well, after all the problems I had getting fingerprinted for my CHP....IT CAME TODAY!!!! :celebrate

I still prefer OC to CC...but, it's nice to know I don't have to constantly worry, especially if out I'm riding my motorcycle around town, whether or not I'm tucked. And I can now drive my daughter to school (provided I'm not going to work immediately afterwards, since I work on a U.S. Army installation) and carry.

A special thank you to Sheriff Bill Watson of Portsmouth for having his deputy fingerprint me in my home...we need more LEO's like him, and Sheriff Diggs. Those who support our 2A rights!!!

Yay.:?

Now you can carry within 1000' of a school and into the GA building and you may purchase more than one handgun a month if'n you wanted.

CHP = VIP carry.

Congrats on finally getting it.

I forgot about my expiry date, been waiting about 35 days for my renewal (which expired the end of December).

Sux to not have my CHP during winter, kinda tough to open carry.

What nonsense. Guess this goes to show you can never be sure you've never broken the law.

I live less than 1000' from a school, and have no intention of disarming every time I leave my house. :(

The kicker is its 1000' from school "property" not just the building. Luckily there doesn't seem to be any strict enforcement of this rule but it can bite you if you happen to be stopped for something else. Watch those speed traps near schools if you don't have a CHP!

Private property is exempt so you aren't a felon until you leave your own property. :)

So do I - my lot actually borders the school yard. That was the whole reason I got my CHP - I have to leave private property to get my mail (on the street), and drive by 2 or 3 schools to get to the range. Plus, it sure makes winter carry easier. :)

I noticed your "climatic-inappropriate attire" when we had lunch a few weeks ago.

2 ends of the vacation ad spectrum: Club Med vs Killington.

According to the History Channel, Benedict Arnold Exposed himself to the enemy. They later said he used BIG GUNS.
That could lead to lots of new terminology pertaining to open carry.

Wonder if this will get
