I just moved to the Twin Cities area (Plymouth to be exact) and was wondering where folks go to shoot.

Welcome to the cities daddyo. Two of the biggest ranges in the metro are Bill's north & Bill's south..

North is locatedin Blaine just north off 35w and lake Dr.

South is locatedin Robbinsdale just offbroadway...

Robbinsdale is by far the onenearer to you....

    Happy shooting Minas!!

The website for Bill's is http://billsgs.com The south location has a 25 yard indoor range, the north one has a 50 yard range. Both are nice ranges. There is also Burnsville pistol Range (http://www.bvpistol.com) I haven't been there but I hear it's a nice place. For shooting outdoors I don't know of any public ranges in the area, but there are a lot of private clubs around some of them have openings for new members.

You might want to look through the archives at http://mnguntalk.com this question has come up there more than once.

I'll second Bald Eagle, I shoot their pistol league and it is a nice range. It is private though so you need to be a member, shoot in a league or go there for a special event to shoot. I just looked at the web site, and it looks like it is open to the public on Saturdays.

Burnsville Pistol Range is a DUMP. No room for gear, lanes are not air conditioned, partitions are too small, overpriced.. I could go on and on.

Just curious here; who is cheaper than Burnsville Pistol Range? I know Bills Gun Range charges $20 for one shoot while BPR charges $14. I won't deny they are a dump though.

I joined the club down at Ahlmanns (spellcheck) .. 30 bucks for the year however the shooting lane for pistols is a kind of " BYOT " bring your own targets. They offer nothing to hold, steady, or lean targets against but I have enjoyed myself much more there than BPR or Bills.

    Decided to go with Caribou.
I went to Bill's once. kind of spendy and after I got home I was blowing black junk out of my nose the rest of the evening. Decided I would stay with the great outdoors.
Caribou looks like a nice place and pretty reasonable price wise.
