for those that dont like links or read from cell phones:

The Virginia House of Delegates will not meet tomorrow because of the impending winter storm. The Senate will have a pro forma session.

It’s a rare occurrence for the House of Delegates to cancel its floor session on an otherwise normal legislative day—House Clerk Bruce F. Jamerson said he can’t recall another time it’s been done in his 37 sessions at the Capitol. Del. Lacey E. Putney doesn’t remember the House taking a day off like this in his 49 years at the General Assembly.

The Senate will hold a pro forma session at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Sens. Henry L. Marsh III, D-Richmond, and Ryan T. McDougle, R-Hanover, volunteered to attend.

All House and Senate committee meetings have been canceled.

That's sort of funny, from all reports I'm reading, this could very well be the worst snowstorm to hit the state in all those years as well!

From Channel 6 News:

RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia legislators are taking a day off Friday because of a foul weather forecast.

With the second Friday snowstorm in as many weeks forecast for Richmond, the House of Delegates is taking the rare step of cancelling all committees and its floor session.

Senate Majority leader Dick Saslaw of Fairfax County said senators would do the same.
:what:
LOL You don't think Dick would let the House have a day off and the Senate work do you?
