"class c" felonies strip one of their gun rights, right?

no, I'm not going down that route, simply curious about something.
the other day I was researching tabacco laws in this state, trying to find some way to get some decent tobacco shipped to me (seems I need a tobacco dealer for that, I wonder what they charge, think there's a waiting period?).

    and came across http://apps.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=70.155.140

    and kinda chuckled to myself...

Wow....but so is online gambling. Like shipping tobacco how do they know? Without violating other laws themselves?

    U.S. v. Minker, 350 US 179, at page 187
"Because of what appears to be a lawful command on the surface, many citizens, because
of their respect for what only appears to be a law, are cunningly coerced into waiving their
    rights, due to ignorance." (Paraphrased)

My guess was written to protect that tax revenue that never makes to its intended destination, like school and libraries?

You see you should have just done it,

A person who knowingly violates subsection (1) of this section is guilty of a class C felony,
That doesn't apply to me so I'm good

BTW Camacho cigars are not sexy.

Been harassed by the police? Yelled at by the anti-gun neighbors? Mother doesn't approve?

After a quick search, looks like mailing small quantities (<50kg) has a similar sentence.

    Easy way around that.

Fill out a business license application and spend the 20$ to register your company as a retailer....

Not your fault you used all the product you ordered, damnit!

I was considering that today... That or start planting and curing and blending my own pipe tobacco.

I only posted this here because I thought it'd be a good reminded to all of the simple things that can strip our rights. (maybe cause a little research and action for other simple things such as this) That and I thought it was funny, in a not so funny sort of way.

I've already decided if I get convicted of a crime I didn't commit that I'll go out in a spectacular fashion... Without using a gun...

I have an LLC. I don't know what's required to register as a retailer, but I wouldn't mind moving products for anyone as long as I don't need a special license.

    Careful.

you're required to collect/remit tax on what you sell.

Yes, sales tax if I'm selling to someone in the state, and there's another tax everyone's technically supposed to pay if selling/buying from out of state.
