Please!

Do a little bit of research before posting drivel like this. This law has been on the books since the mid 1970's. Just because some meathead blogger sensationalized it doesn't make it worthwhile or newsworthy. A bit of due diligence on your (and his) part would go a long way.

This is nothing new.

There is nothing to see here.

Move along.

Most laws against carrying had been on the books for decades, and sat ununsed (except against those people, whom they intended to disarm). And then when carrying fell out of favor, all of a sudden the bans started being enforced against everyone.

If it is the law and hasn't been repealed or struck down by a court ruling, it remains in effect and available to be used any time the government cares to use it.

That is what makes it a big deal.

Did you actually take the time to read the law before getting your panties in a wad? I didn't think so. There are so many exceptions and loopholes in it that it would apply to virtually nobody. And can you cite one instance when the law has ever been enforced or used for prosecution? Neither can I.

I can't argue that the law is ridiculous and is a waste of paper/ink/bandwidth. Unfortunately most or maybe all states have the same kind of crap on the books. I'll save my energy for fighting against unjust laws in South Carolina that actually have an impact on myself and the general population. You should probably do the same.

P.S. There is nothing in this law that that specifies firearms in any way, so... How is this thread even relevent to this forum?
