I realize this is last minute, but is there any interest for having an oc lunch this Monday in the City of Manassas? Fosters in Old Town at 1:00.

    I could do it.

In the final seconds of your life, just before your killer is about to dispatch you to that great eternal darkness, what would you rather have in your hand? A cell phone or a gun?

I might try to spin out that way. the Va Gun Owner's Forum is having a get-together at Sharpshooters range in Lorton, and I got me an 'itchy trigger finger' I think I can maybe make a 1:00...

(Edited because I was too blind to see the time in the first post)

Why not go ahead and call this a 'go'. Looks like you have several who would like to make it.

How far is Manassas from Lorton? About a 30 minute drive according to yahoo maps...sound about right? A few of us from VGOF are meeting up at SharpShooters at 10am tomorrow (You're all invited if it doesn't conflict with this OC lunch - if it conflicts, nevermind!)

If the schedule permits, I think I'll head down to Fosters for some lunch with the OC crew at 1:00.

After Action Report: great turnout for a Monday afternoon. There were at least twelve adults attendees; we couldn't all fit in one area. Good to see some old friends and make some new ones.

I also had a nice conversation with the Mayor of Manassas, gave him some VCDL lit and invited him to sign up for e-alerts since he had a lot of questions about gun laws.

I agree it was a great turnout. A few looks when I first got there but otherwise no issues.

Nice turn out. I was happy to see everyone there. Went well for a short notice.

I see that rebfan. My queston was sarcastic since the original post never had a date on it except "lunch this Monday" and since it will remain on the board for years it would be confusing which is why after I wrote that one of the moderators (apparently) edited it unless yopu went back and edited your originalpost.

It was nice meeting those of you who showed up. I guess there were about eight of you? And four of us VGOF'ers.

    Carry on!

    Ed,

Thanks. I did not add a date. I don't always remember that "talking" on the internet is different from talking in person.
