SB 10-051 Eliminates the authority of the governor to suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation of firearms during a state of disaster emergency. Current law allows the governor to declare a state of emergency (like the snow storm in N.C., http://rss.examiner.com/x-4525-Seattle-Gun-Rights-Examiner~y2010m2d8-North-Carolina-town-calls-snow-emergency-so-gun-sales-are-bannedhuh )which can severely infringe upon our gun rights.

I encourage everyone to contact their State Senator and encourage them to support this bill if they haven't already, and to thank them if they have.

Too bad this bill was killed in committee. So was the Firearms Freedom Act which would have exempted firearms manufactured and sold in CO from federal firearms laws.
