I would like to understand the following two things:

1. It seems that we have two major gun owners organizations in Michigan (beside MOC which is OC specific): MGO (Michigun Gun Owners, http://www.migunowners.org) and MCRGO (Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Ownership, http://www.mcrgo.org)

How is it happened that we have two.Who was there first? Why was there a need to establish the second one? Is it because of some disagreements? Are there any rivalry or "bad blood" between two and what are the major issues that set them apart?

2. What is MGO and MCRGO position towards OC? Do they support us? Did they ever voice "official" position towards OC in general and towards MOC as organization?

I am really curious to hear some insights and opinions. You?

MCRGO was started as a grassroots gunrights activist organization. They have taken on local government in court (MCGRO V. Ferndale) and have been a spearhead for numerous legislative changes.

Some time ago there was a growing number of dissidents amongst the organization. Their forum became the arena to voice that dissension. As a result, many members got banned and some were even expelled from the organization. (Sound familiar?)

The dissenters started their own group MGO. They have a lot of dinners, fund raiser shooting events, and lunches by the Board. They even put up tables at gun events to sign up members. And they have a forum with an exceptionally good classified section.
