To what limit could one be prosecuted for OC in a city who outlaws it? Is it a mere "take that home son" and a fine?

And yes I am familiar with "it dosent have to make sense, it's the law."

This still spins my head in circles yelling WTF!

I think it depends on what the officer is told to charge you with.I have been told the charges common are Disorderly Conductor Disturbing the Peace.

It could be both. A city officer may arrest (Custodial I.E. hancuffs) or non- custodial (citation).

In response to your tagline under the subject. The state doesn't actually say that you can, it simply doesn't say that you can't and leaves it up to the municipalities to either leave it be or tell you that you can't.

I don't have the bill number in front of me, but there's a good chance the pre-emptive clause will go in this session and eliminate the loopholes the cities use to limit open carry around the state.

The sooner they do that, the sooner I'll quit stuffing a 411S&W in the back of my belt and can hang my Blackhawk at my side where it belongs.
