There is a website that I came across here:

    http://www.ohioccds.com/

This is for Ohio only by the way, but would love opinions of anyone here.

Basically, it seems to be a group of attorneysthat defend you as a lawyer regarding CCW incidents. I contacted them about this, and they told me that they would also defend for Open Carry, so long as you have a CCW License.

You pay them an annual fee, and they say they cover you for any costs and defend you for free. This was brought before the members on ohioccwforums.org but it didn't generate much interest and there wasn't a clear opinion that I received from likeminded people on this service. Is it worth it to get this service? What is your opinion?

I don't know about the Ohio guys, but you might look into the Armed Citizen's Legal Defense Network:

    http://armedcitizensnetwork.org/

They don't cover your whole defense, but they get it started and it would take you a long time paying dues to make it not worth your while. They are on my list of gun purchases for the year.

This looks like a good organization. Its different than the organization I posted. The thing I am concerned about is not so much covering costs if I have to use my gun, but the encounters I may have while open carrying and being harassed by law inforcement. I appreciate the recommendation though; I might join that.

What does everything think of the service I mentioned? Does it sound legitimate? What precautions should I take? Should I meet with them in person first?
