Isn't it better to let the seller start the bidding, after all you might have got a better price :banghead:.

Lurchiron, why is TR a "troll"????

And what on earth is wrong with listing a WTB list of guns with prices? Seem normal to me...

I never called anyone but you a TRoll.

If you want to tell me how much money you got to spend, I'll crank the price up just a tad; and let you spend more. If you ask me how much I want for it, well then the pressure is on me to lower the price to what I think you would pay. Which deal sounds better to you.

P.S. I think you're the one on the right...no?

That's really a, shall we say, conventional approach that you favor to buying guns.

Actually, that's my preferred method. But I've seen TR's method work for people. It cuts to the chase. "X, Y, and Z is what I'm looking for and this is what I am willing to pay." (implied: don'tbother me if your offering is not in my ballpark.)

TR's price on the 92FS is possibly a tad on the low side. I seea lot of those creeping upt to $550 lately. If he wants a 92FS and needs one, to get one at $500 is a pretty decent deal.

His budget price of an AR doesn't do much since there is such a wide spread of AR-prices. But it does indicate to potential sellers that he is not interested in, say any Colt ARs.

$300 for a "good tactical" shotgun is not a bad price for a buyer. And he can always say no if someone offers him, say, a Maverick or some such.

Nah, Lurchiron, I think your criticism of TR's effort is a little weak.

Do you buy or sellmany guns? Do you do well in your trades?

I prefer the term conservative , and I don't recieve any income from sales.

Since you haven't responded in the negative, I'll take it to mean that you are the one on the right then...:what:

WOW.......remind me never to buy a gun from you. 92FS are going around here for about $400 used from a dealer. so i would think private would usually be less.

$300 for a used shotgun......well that depends on which make/model i guess. i know you can buy home defense shotguns and other models brand new for as low as $200+.

well i guess i will clarify for you here i had my eye on an escort marine which is the perfect tactical shotgun nib for normaly around 300. so i will pay up to 300 for something similar. 800 for an ar-15 in the range of a dpms panther type non flattop usually is a little cheaper but i will pay more for M&P or bushmaster but new M&P with flattop and no accesories is 1099 at gander mtn. so i will pay 1000 even with no accesories. i will pay more for an ar-15 with accesories but no i cant afford a colt. i have about 1600 to use for guns from taxes so i have proportioned my money the way i can purchase the weapons i want to round out my collection. so i posted the prices i would pay so you would have an idea what i would be interested in without having to spell it out. and a 92fs i have purchased in the past used for 500 but it was stolen. so 500 seems fair.

and i owned a maverick but i sold it to fund a cz 30-06. i dont mind mavericks normally they have longer barrels but its easy to hack it down to 18" and put a knoxx tactical pistol grip on for like 70 mavericks are really really cheap not in quality just in price so i would not object to a reasonably priced maverick 88.

truthfully i would not mind a double barreled side by side as well. as long as it is home defense with short barrels.
