I don't see it posted here, and I'm not sure when it happened exactly, but your WA CPL is now valid in Florida. The two states have (apparently) signed a reciprocity agreement.

What I find interesting yet very puzzling is the fact that Washington will now honor Florida's permit/license and vice versa. Seems strange that Florida will honor 30+ State's permits but not Washington.

Sounds to me that the whole idea of reciprocity is rooted more in politics than standards.

Florida law provides for the automatic recognition of resident licenses of any state that grants reciprocity to Florida licensees and the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (whose Licensing Divisionadministers Florida's concealed weapons licensing program)has always diligently sought reciprocity from every state possible. The only3 states that have reciprocity laws and with which Florida does not have reciprocity are Maine, Minnesota, and Nevada--and the problem is on their respective ends.

That's what I meant. Sorry but I am merely a product of the Washington State Education System (from 50 years ago).

The "Mouse" may not honor the permit though.

I guess that we'll have to leave them locked up in the room. Walt Disney was a pervert anyhow.

I know asking for a Cali Recip is asking to much, but if only we could get Oregon on board, that would be awesome.

    Don't believe everything you read.

It is perfectly legal to carry at Disney (with a permit/license). They may not want you to, but all they can do is tell you to leave if they somehow discover it.

In most cases I've heard when someone is discovered, they have allowed them to store it in their security office or let the individual go put it in the car.

I just checked www.usacarry.com and it says that Oregon does not recognize Utah permits. Where did see that they do?

Yea, http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/oregon.pdfis silent on such a development too, and they normally have changes posted 'day of'.

Oregon recognizes NO other state licenses. Period. There will be a strong effort post-McDonald during the 2011 session to significantly change it. Stay tuned!

Btw, Washington originally stated that only FL resident licenses would be recognized here, but there was some prodding by FL saying "Well, I know our state has that law, where is it in yours"? WA reversed it's decision.

DW is actually one of the few places I would feel safe these days. Without going into details, there are more cops per square mile there than just about anyplace you will go. Not much gets by the guys hiding behind the ears. Next time you are there, look around and take note of all the windows on every building...

That said, it's their rule and there aren't any metal detectors if I remember.
