I'm currently considering a part time job at a state ran institution (non secure facility). Is it right for me to assume that any rule the agency currently may have against concealed or open carry can not be enforced? If I choose to OC at work, can they fire me on those grounds or will they be breaking the state preemption law?

Its my position they can't stop me. I've never heard of a state or local government employee who's tried to OC while on the clock though (other than LEO and such) Does anyone here have any practical knowledge of someone who has?
