941.237 Says you may not possess a handgun on the premises of a business with a Class B license. It uses the definition of a handgun from 175.35(1)(b) Wherea handgun is defined as a weapon designed to be fired with one hand. If you have an AOW with a forward grip, it can no longer be transferred as a handgun through the WI DOJ therefore it does not meet the definition of a handgun as defined in 175.35(1)(b).

Premises is defined in 125.02(14m) as what it says on the license.

Thank you. I had a different question and you helped answer it.

I was told that if there is a beer tent on fairgrounds that 941.237 applies to the entire grounds, not just the beer tent.

But from what you pointed out;

Premises is defined in 125.02(14m) as what it says on the license.

That would be deteremined by what is printed on the Class B Liscense.

On the down side, if the premises is the entirephysical address, then the parking lot will also be off limits for a handgun unless it is unloaded, encased and in the vehicle. Many taverns have outside functions where they serve alcohol including a parking lot area and this is in full compliance with their license.

If you read the statutes carefully, you will find exceptions, but you will find many inclusions also based on the premises.
