I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but you need to research the state laws, there are plenty of places to find them. There are many posts on here about it, when you are through with this site, just google Indiana Handgun Law. There is also a great book by an Indy Lawyer, "Indiana Handgun Law" http://www.amazon.com/Indiana-Handgu.../dp/0978627695 . There is also another great Indiana Forum: http://ingunowners.com/forums/index.php
If you are referring to Open Vs Concealed carry, I believe you will find that Indiana law is silent on the issue. This is commonly interpreted that if you have a license to carry, you can carry a handgun in any manner of your choosing so long as you are not in a prohibited place (School, School event etc).
I have seen quotes on here of email's from the ISP stating that open carry is legal as long as you have the license to carry in the first place. I have also seen posts from others that say you can wear it around your neck on a string or stuck to your forehead as there is no law requiring that the handgun be concealed in Indiana. You will see that many law enforcement agencies have varied views on the subjects and some will down right deny that open carry is legal even though they know there is nothing with which to charge you.
Welcome to the Forum, look around a while, you will find a lot of knowledgeable people on here.
