Wyoming Sheriff Thread is Bogus, Unfortunately
This article is a statement issued by Wyoming District Court
explaining the dismissal of the case. Basically, they side-stepped
the whole issue of who rules--county sheriff or feds. There has been
a lot of mistatement, misunderstanding, & phony baloney re this
case. The sheriff himself stated about 95% of what is reported on
internet is incorrect.
Above quote was posted4/27/2006.

The real scoop on the WY issue? Am not sure ...

The county sheriff is by law the most powerful official in the county, this is true. Unfortunately except for rare occasions most Sheriff's are afraid to go against the State or Fed, or side with them out of philosophy. For instance in case of a martial law takeover by the feds, you can count on the Clark County Sheriff to side with them.
