On Thursday's Newsroom, CNN anchor Ali Velshi unexpectedly supported Starbucks' decision to stand by its policy of letting gun-owning customers openly-carry their weapons in states where it is legal to do so. Despite hinting he didn't see the need for guns in coffee shops, Velshi stated it was "better for businesses not to weigh into this unwinnable debate."

That still suggests that the symptom is 'cured' and not the disease.

Maybe they're giving up this angle, maybe. Enemies of Life and Freedom will just find a new way.

The problem with a quasi-victory in our field, is that we now have lost the devil we know. Many will sit back and relax saying 'we've won!' And this respit will be used for the next wave, and we don't know that devil or where he will come from.
