I actually tried to get a blue card for it but was told at the Water st. station that I could not get one because I am not an official resident of Clark County. The reason is I still use my Kalifornia Drivers License and I live part time in Kalifornia. I have not got around to getting my Nevada license yet which is what determines my state of residency according to Henderson police. They could be wrong I dunno but as long as I don't live in Clark County for 60 days in a row I don;t need a blue card. I just love the government! :banghead:

Well, as a California resident, you're not required to have a blue card unless you've been living in Clark County more than 60 days.

Just remember, if police stop you (us), refuse to answer any questions. Don't lie, just refuse to answer. If you HAVE been in the county for more than 60 days, the only way they know that is you telling them. I don't advocate breaking the law, but I don't disagree with civil disobedience with unconstitutional laws either. This is one law where you're the ONLY one who can get you busted for it. So just be smart.

yeah Tim, I have a new motto when I encounter the police. It is WWTD. What would Tim do. :p But yeah I don't plan on telling the police anything. I'm kinda in blue card limbo!

If you want to keep your Cali DL, just go to DMV and get a Non resident ID card....
Just tell them you are retired and vacation here....this will allow you to buy a hand gun in Nevada...
Do not tell them you work here...as you can only work here 10 days before you are required to change your DL...:)

For the guys who are going to the range: Can you snag a little extra table? I probably wont be there until a little later and want to make sure we can stay in a group.

A non resident ID will allow me to purchase a gun here? I thought you could only buy a firearm in the state that you are a resident. Hmm I may be making a trip to the DMV then.

I just purchased a new XD 3 weeks ago, and as I talking with the salesman. He said they just changed the law that Seasonal Residents can no longer purchase fire arms in Nevada. I'll have to look it up to make sure.
