I just sent in my application for a non-resident Florida permit. Anybody get one recently? What can I expect for a turn-around time?
If I recall correctly, FL is a "shall issue" state. So as long as I qualify, i will definitely be issued one?

Got my FLA resident permit in 2005. Just renewed it as a non resident. Took about 3 weeks including mail both ways between VA and FLA.

Back in 2005, my original issue resident permit took about 4 weeks.

Yes, FLA is a "shall issue" state. Unless you have a disqualifying event, you should be fine.

Good luck.
