I used to live there. I think if you open carried in Frisko, the SFPD good squad would likely shoot first and ask questions later. They're a lot like LAPD, but they're number 2 in police brutality in California, so they have an image to maintain. "We're number 2, so we try harder."

Remember, that's the town where Gun Grabboid Diane Feinstein issued the only CCW in the city to herself when she was mayor.

So let me get this straight, it's OK for her to be openly gay which may be socially unacceptable but not prohibited by law, but it's not OK for us to openly carry our firearms, which may (now) be socially unacceptable but is not only not prohibited by law, but specifically allowed in Constitutional law.

The lack of consistency from the socialists never ceases to amaze me.

Good... a backlash was bound to happen sooner or later anyway. Now, when these attempts (there will be more) to legislate away rights get defeated (so much hinges on the Supreme Court right now) how will the leftys ban guns?

It never fails.... give a lefty an inch and they will take a mile.. then, filled with righteous fervor thinking they have won, will step on their own... ummm... appendage. (Let us not take that comment off into implication land comments please!:shock:)

Brady vs Starbucks.. and now this attempt to ban open carry in Cali will do much to bring gun rights... and lefty control of everything agenda.. into the forefront of American scrutiny.

it's all about apperences - we need nice smiling multi-cultural families and friends open carrying in public in proper holsters - and the whole cammoflage outfits and vests need to go too.

I am pretty sure that on at least one occassion the fact of having my Asian wife (who began recording the interaction) and our then 5 y/o daughter with me asking why the police were bothering me is the only reason they didn't try to push the "concealed" issue.

Some have attempted to motivate some more of the GLBT community and the Pink Pistols, but as some have pointed out, many of them are scared to come out publicly just about being GBLT let alone a gun-rights supporter.
