Hello,

I live in a apartment complex and close to a lake.There are no schools nearby and I wanted to see if it was legal to walk with my family to the lake open carrying from my apartment.

There might be some other issues to watch out for. Some cities have local ordinances about carry in city parks or playgrounds. Check the status of the land around the lake.

Please note, you need to ask your apartment complex owners on their restrictions. Not saying its right, but they may have public space rules.

Plus remember, you must be clothed :)

Don't ask; you might not get the answer you want. Instead, just read your lease agreement. IANAL, but it's my belief that they can't enforce restrictions on your lease unless they're printed in your lease.
