Great news everyone, the Warren Police Department will be working with us to help make it a safe event. The bike route was changed to make the route safer and easier to police. Please show respect to them. Officers have been assigned for our benefit to escort our bike ride. We have requested an police officer to speak about encounters and address his concerns from him and his department and how we can make things better to help work together with them.

riding a bike wile oc'ing without cpl is a grey area according to many on the site. No different than oc'ing on a motorcycle.

Both appear to be legal according to how i read the mcl, since the pistol is not IN the vehicle, but there has yet to be any case law on the particular issue.

Do you think that A..........b....w/gum will have had his meeting with Commissioner Dwyer to identify Warren PD training shortcomings prior to this event?

Certainly anyone concerned about the "vehicular aspects" of a bicycle without a CPL could just meet at the picnic and CPL holders / non-concerned non-CPL holders could ride the bicycles.

I would be remiss if I did not ask if we really want to convey the image that it is generally okay to do this if the law is unclear? I can envision good points on both sides of the fence, so let's hear 'em!

5/15 is the generally recognized date format for May 15th.

That picture was from before I started OCing handguns regularly. The truck is a rental that the Michigander bike tour rented to carry peoples stuff between stops for the night.

A nearly 5 minute slide show I made of pictures I took on the Michigander, if anyone wants to see it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAURPIFNm-w&feature=fvsr
