I've had the discussion with people I work with and other friends of mine, that a gun upstairs in your dresser drawer does you no good when the BGs bust in your door while you're sitting on the toilet.

Carry in your home, carry whenever legally possible.

This is another reason why I think OC is so important in Michigan in that by OCing w/CPL we are legally allowed to be armed in more places thanOCing w/o CPL or CCing.

When I'm home, I'm armed all the time. I carry from the time I wake up, to the time I go to sleep. Why do something halfway?

In Dave Lowry's book Autumn Lightining: The Education of an American Samurai, he talks about how he was taught that samuraiwould remove one leg from their pants while sitting to go to the bathroom. That way if they were attacked in that vulnerable position they could still maneuver without having their feet tangled up.

If you're interested in the classical Japanese martial arts it's a great book.
