MADISON (WKOW) -- Concerned citizens report they saw a man with a gun at Sherwood Forest Park on Friar Lane in Madison.

It happened late in the afternoon on Monday, March 15.

According to Madison Police, several callers claim they saw a man armed with a long barreled shotgun at the park. Witnesses say he was pointing it at the trees. Callers claim they were frightened, and could not be sure if the gun was real or not.

The man reportedly left the area in a dark colored four-door car.

The man is described as a white male, 20-40 years old, 5'8" to 5'11", average build, wearing a black hat and dark clothes.

Well we do have to understand the Madison is a city inhabited by those too scared to live too far away from the isthmus. Most are still hoping that fairies and unicorns will prance through the streets in solidarity with the rest of the residents to protest that a man with a gun is allowed to even exist!

Seems that anything gun related is verbotten in the Peoples Republik of Madison...just ask Gander Mountain why they moved to the other side of the Interstate.
OH...verbotten except for the drive by shootings...the drug shootings and the general uptick in all forms of violence.
Too bad the gun bans don't work!

A male between 20-40 and 5'8"-5'11", average build, driving a dark colored, 4 door car. That really narrows it down to probably more than half of Madison.
