I have applied for a permit, and have not yet received it, but would like to know if I can carry in these places...

    1) The Senior Citizens Center in Kokomo, it is run and maintained by the Kokomo Parks and Recreation Dep. and is located in a park.

    2) Hoosier Park casino, it is NOT a riverboat casino.

I would like to know specifically about these places, as I am the one responsible for my mother's safety, and we frequent these places often.

The Park is Legal, unless Kokomo has a Local Ordinance to the contrary.

The Casino is Private Property, which means that it isonly Illegal if one refuses to leave when asked.

Casinos are not technically illegal anyway. There's no statute that covers them with regards to firearms. However, there are statutes that delegate the authority to the Indiana Gaming Commission, and I have no doubt that their administrative rules (which have significant penalties) cover land-based as well as riverboat casinos. I would not attempt to carry inside any casino.

That said, the statutes require riverboats to provide a place to check your firearm. Some land-based casinos do not offer that service, so you'd have to stow it in your vehicle.

Thank you both, that's what I was looking for.
