So I've become good friends with the GM of the Greenbrier BWW, Stopped in there today to grab some wings for lunch, and asked my buddy whats the deal with the huge sign on the door? He told me in Tennesse one of the cooks came out from the kitchen noticing a customer OCing, Went over to his table and said '' Sir theres no reason for you to have a gun in here.'' '' Its a family restaurant!'' The guy tells him to mind his own @#$%ing business, Standing outta his chair, Well the cook shouts across the restaurant to call the police this guy has just threatened me with a gun!(Frightening every customer in the place) Manager comes over tells the guy to leave and the guy Says '' No I'm gonna finish my meal.'' Long story short cops come escort the guy out.... Well the story makes it all the way to Corporate, And they vote to ban all firearms!
Whether true or not makes little difference - they don't want my money - no problem.

As to the alleged events - the customer should have responded with curtesy and restraint while recording the entire incident, asked to have his meal comped and left.

Then - make and send a copy/download of the incident to corporate and possibly gone public with it.

Be aware what we say and do (and how) reflects on OCers and 2A advocates everywhere.

I call BS on your friend's (or "friend's" ) story. A story like that would have made a news blurb somewhere.

I DID, however, find this...

http://www.kentuckyhunting.net/forums/showthread.php?t=81813

Today as I was walking in I noticed something different though, it was a "ban on all guns" sign displayed on your front door. I mentioned this to the manager and he explained that there had been a few shootings at various stores around the country and that corporate had changed the policy nationwide.
Now compare this to the OP's story...

Sorry to put you through the wringer, man, but we've had a lot of drive-by BS lately, and I think everyone's a little wary of claims at the moment.

Nothing personal. :uhoh:

Hello, My name is bobby i wanted to share a quick story with you. While shopping in Greenbrier mall this past weekend, My 1yr son was hungry so i walked to Mickey D's as i was ordering a sercurity guard walks up behind me taps my shoulder and says''Sir what do you think your doing''. i turned around saying HUH? "yOU CAN'T HAVE THAT IN HERE'' says the Douche. Knowing what hes clearly talking about,[ The Kimber on my hip]. I say What a Kid? referring to my son. Now let me just tell ya alittle about this guy 6'0 tall , 300lbs, shirt half untucked, ghetto sounding S.O.B says "Dont be a smartass the Gun On your hip I need you to leave and I'll walk you out right now!'' So i smile grab my sons hand and just start walking towards the door, He then shouts out loud ''Hey i said i'll walk you out''. I dont even look back, He comes running over beside me and says you think your a tough guy huh?. i just laugh, Then he tells me as im outside if we were on the street he'd take the gun away from me and beat my ass! LMAO! I said Id love to see your fat ass try! Gave him the finger and went on with my day. Now, i'm sure there are no signs on the sears doors. My question is, Does the mall have to post at every entrance? Ps: Mall Sercurity= Unarmed ( Please do not shop at Greenbrier Mall)
Thanks bro for the tips, Nah. I never mentioned the sign, Outta respect for the fellow Oc'ers i never refuse to leave and never wanna bring negative attention to my Brothers of Arms.
You already have by the way you talk and the attitude expressed - not good.

Back up and learn to handle yourself in a non-confrontational way.

Are you just driving by or will you be coming to some of the events so that others may know who and what you are?

Can't help but wonder about new posters that jump in with allegorical stories with poorly chosen words.

If that story had been true he would have had grounds for assault charges on the security guard and likely a lawsuit on the store. Yup yet another troll sniffed out.

BTW - as an interesting and funny side note, the background of the user name of AEQUITAS is that Aequitus was a minor Roman goddess of fair trade and honest merchants.

Humorous under the circumstances and likely a Freudian slip, indicating personal bias.

That from the ancient Greek is a noble concept - Truth and justice.

The other is strangely funny though referencing merchants.

Bottom line is I will buy my wings elsewhere till they decide to take the no guns sign off of their door.

I do dislike unsubstantiated stories more than most perhaps, though they are held in general disdain here. Those that tend to post them can expect negative responses. Hearsay does nothing but perpetuate myths, Those that step in it, should expect to get some on themselves.

Not saying that was your intent, but it happens that way.

Suggest that you review the rules here on OCDO, back up a bit and regroup.
Take your time to learn the lay of the land first.

That and you might wish to reread my post of Mar 25th, 2010 12:58 pm on this thread.
