So I've become good friends with the GM of the Greenbrier BWW, Stopped in there today to grab some wings for lunch, and asked my buddy whats the deal with the huge sign on the door? He told me in Tennesse one of the cooks came out from the kitchen noticing a customer OCing, Went over to his table and said '' Sir theres no reason for you to have a gun in here.'' '' Its a family restaurant!'' The guy tells him to mind his own ******* business, Standing outta his chair, Well the cook shouts across the restaurant to call the police this guy has just threatened me with a gun!(Frightening every customer in the place) Manager comes over tells the guy to leave and the guy Says '' No I'm gonna finish my meal.'' Long story short cops come escort the guy out.... Well the story makes it all the way to Corporate, And they vote to ban all firearms!

1-I dont care why they want to infringe on my right to self defense.

2-I dont give any real credit to the story that comes from BWW as to why they think they should infringe on my rights.

3-They should have fired the cook.

4-If they dont want my @#$%ing business, someone else does!

5-I would never set foot in that place, let alone grab some wings for lunch.

My .05 cents...

Yeh, that story stretches credibility.

And I agree that, if true, the cook should have been fired.

Not only did he go beyond his authority to come out of the kitchen to manage the customers, his actions were unacceptable.

Cook: "You don't need such a fast car."
Customer: "I'll drive what I effing want to."
Cook: "Hello 911? Some guy tried to run me over."

I thought in TN you had to leave the gun in a car if the place sells alcohol... I know that recently changed but BW3's has had this ban as long as I can remember.

Either the story came from hollywood or the person in this story was breaking the law at the time.

It sound's like you may have the power to turn this around. Educate your friend on the laws and reasons to carry. Make him (or her) an expert. They in turn can explain to corporate in these economic times, he should not have to turn away busines from law abiding citizens and that he would like corporate to remove the ban and follow the footsteps of other major chain stores (Startbucks, best Buy, Home Depot, Walmart, etc etc etc.

Tell your friend to come to Fuddruckers at 7PM in Herndon tonight and see how much business we really bring to a place ;-)

1- It's private property, a private business, so we all know that you have no right to carry on the property.

2-They don't really need to give credit to why they don't allow BWW. They are free to choose what they believe is best for their business, just as you are free to open carry on public property.

3-Maybe that cook should be talked to, but to take his job away from him for having a confrontation would be wrong. Also, none of us were there, so who knows what exactly was said between either party.

4- Exactly! There are other places to go, so if you don't agree with a business, just head else where.

5- I wish there was a BWW closer to my area, because I do like their wings.

Anti-gun is anti-gun is anti-gun, no matter their reasoning. None of it, in my mind, can come from looking at an issue logically and rationally, rather than emotionally.

I need a wing place in Richmond, but can't really find one. Wing Zone is meh, but they deliver and I don't care for Hooters.

Any recommendations?

Then again I probably don't have any business eating wings in the first place.

Should have charged the cook for inciting a riot. lol That is like yelling fire in a theater. Cook should have just let the manager handle it.

Some managers are too scared and can't work up the courage to talk to the customer themselves. That might've been the case, if the story is even true. I've had it happen to me before.

There is one at Dulles Wegmans Parking Lot. However, there is a GUN friendly Buffalo Wing Factory on Church Road that has better prices and wings

Buffalo Wing Factory is better anyway. By the way, you should try the twice baked potato pizza if you haven't yet.

If BWW changed their policy I still wouldn't go!!
Their wings are worse than Hooters been to both places once, Southern NV locations.
BWW would have to change their policy and their wing recipe.

This looks like an object lesson in how being a jerk can hurt us all.

I've been asked to leave places because I was OC; yeah it pissed me off but I didn't have to pay for my food either.

When asked to leave private property, DO IT. Argue with management, etc. later.

1-Yes I have a right to carry, and they have a right to tell me to leave... Not that I would want to stay.

5-Glad you enjoy being around those that have no respect for our rights.
